IG II(2) 3199: Dedication by Skribonia Paulleina to Athena Archegetis

The following translation was made by Hannah Welsh as part of an ancient Greek course at The Lawrenceville School in 2020-2021. It was reviewed by Krateros Project Manager Aaron Hershkowitz and Krateros Project Director Angelos Chaniotis.

To Athena, the founder—

Skribonia Paulleina, priestess [to Athena the founder],

daughter of Skribonius Kapiton,

dedicated the bowl from the contributions placed in the treasure box of the Parthenon, from the part that belongs to the priestess.
